The café has been around since 1903. The menu is fairly straightforward. The cakes are baked fresh every morning and taste delicious. The service is super friendly. A really dreamy place for a cozy stop. It is closed in winter, however, as hardly any guests are expected then.

Sometimes it's open. Sometimes it's closed. When it's closed, it's stupid.

The "Wedeler Au" and the "Hetlinger Binnenelbe" flow together here and then flow into the Elbe at the barrier.

Always enjoy the inviting expanse of the coast along the dike! Magnificent views over the Elbe on one side, a lush meadow landscape on the other side. Countless sheep cavort on the grass-covered dike, seemingly unimpressed by the pedestrians leisurely strolling past. A corresponding amount of sheep dung needs to be avoided on the top of the dike. If that doesn't suit you, you can alternatively use one of the two asphalt paths that run parallel to the dike.
