The foundations of the building come from the original medieval tower, which was rebuilt by Šternberky into a Renaissance castle in 1574. After it was burned down by Swedish troops in 1651, it was bought by Jan Hrabě z Rottal, who had a four-winged building with corner towers built in the spirit of the early Baroque in 1655. After him, the construction work was continued by František Antonín, count of Rottal, who had the interiors modified and established the castle theater. Later, the interiors of the second floor were modified in the style of classicism. After 1948, the castle was nationalized. Currently, you can visit one of the organized cultural and social events or view reconstructed and unreconstructed spaces without preserved furniture. A large French garden stretches around.

The source of the Dřevnice river is located in the Hostýnské hills at the turn of the yellow tourist sign leading from Troják through Tisový, Kašava to Velíková. Drevnice springs at a height of 551 m above sea level. (the sign indicates 503m) and as a left-hand tributary it flows into the Morava in Otrokovice after 42.3 km. The spring is covered, but the access road is often rutted, muddy and full of uncleared wood.

From a distance, Zlín may be an unspectacular industrial city. But with a special focus on the architecture and a look behind the scenes, the exciting ensemble of buildings that extends through the entire city center is revealed: Zlín is the largest monument zone of functionalism. Red brick buildings wherever you look. One of them was once the second tallest building in Europe. In the Southeast Moravian Museum you can go on a journey of discovery and follow the traces of the industrialist and inventor Tomáš Baťa.
