The Goldenbow windmill, which is now used as a holiday home, is in a wonderful location. In 1869, a Erdholländer was put into operation by Müller Müller Hermann Pagenkopf. The Dutchman's mill was already owned by the third generation of the family when Hermann Heinrich Pagenkopf decided in 1924 to demolish the old Dutchman's mill in order to increase the capacity of the mill due to the large crop cultivation in Mecklenburg and to rebuild it as a gallery Dutchman. The new mill is 23 meters high and has a diameter of 10 meters at the bottom. The Pagenkopf family operated the mill until 1957. Then the LPG crushed in the mill until the necessary repairs were due, but these were not carried out. Ultimately, the LPG ceased operations. This started the decay of the mill. The entire technology, except for the part in the mill head, on the flour floor and the vertical shaft, was torn out. Storage areas were created from the rooms. From the beginning of the 1980s, only the wind, the mice and the cats met here in the mill... In 1986 the mill was put on the list of monuments as a technical monument. In May 1987, monument preservation work was carried out to preserve the building. In 1994, Jürgen Schulz bought the mill from the LPG and began converting it into a restaurant. From February 1, 2003, mill manager Jürgen Schulz had to close this gastronomic facility for economic reasons. The mill then stood empty for 3 years. Since December 1st, 2006 the mill has been alive again. It was extensively and lovingly renovated and expanded into a holiday home. https://www.muehlenverein-mv.de/muehlenstandorte/westmecklenburg/windmuehle-goldenbow

Quietly and in the middle of Mecklenburg, the Goldenbow windmill stretches its wings into the sky. In the former Mahlboden and directly under the Königswelle, guests can now enjoy their rest during the holidays. After the mill has experienced a wide variety of uses in its history, it can now be rented as a holiday home. It offers its guests the opportunity to enjoy both history and modern comfort in a unique atmosphere on 250 square meters of living space. (http://www.muehle-goldenbow.de/)
