The Breitachklamm near Oberstdorf in the Allgäu region, with a depth of around 150 meters, is the deepest rocky gorge in Central Europe and has been officially named the "Natural Wonder of the Year 2025". The impressive geological site extends across the Tiefenbach district of Oberstdorf into the Austrian Kleinwalsertal valley. A well-secured, approximately 2.5-kilometer-long hiking trail leads directly past the roaring masses of water.

⛰️🚵♂️ Rohrmoostal – Hörnlepass-Runde | A day that legs and battery won't forget anytime soon! ☀️ Anyone who thinks the Allgäu only has gentle cycle paths will be quickly taught otherwise on this tour. 😅 Together with my best buddy, we rode from Sonthofen into the beautiful Rohrmoostal – past turquoise-green rivers, shady forests, lush alpine meadows, and a backdrop that makes you want to stop every five minutes to take the next photo. 📸🌲 The path leads steadily uphill towards Hörnlepass. Technically, the route is absolutely uncomplicated and rideable for almost everyone – the real challenge, however, lies in your legs... or your battery level. 🔋😂 Those who are fit or have enough reserves in their e-bike will be rewarded with fantastic views, lonely forest passages, and a real Allgäu feeling. Of course, a stop at a rustic alpine hut was a must. A cool Zötler with a view of the mountains tastes twice as good after such a climb. 🍺⛰️ And the friendly greeting at the hut (“Schie, dass du do bisch!”) hits the nail on the head. Along the way, there were crystal-clear mountain streams, curious cows with their huge bells, and endless forest paths that let you switch off completely. It's exactly these kinds of tours that make mountain biking in the Allgäu so addictive. Conclusion: An absolutely dreamlike scenic loop with everything a biker's heart desires. Technically easy, conditionally demanding, and full of magnificent views. Anyone who loves nature, mountains, and long tours should definitely ride this loop once – provided you have enough battery and a bit of puff. 😉🚵♂️⛰️ Greetings Marcus
