Yates Cider Mill, established in 1863, began as a grist mill before transitioning to cider production in 1876. It continues to operate using its original water-powered system, pressing fresh Michigan apples into preservative-free cider. The mill, surrounded by scenic trails, also serves fresh donuts—making this a fantastic stop if you're in the area.

Nice trail half gravel / half paved along the Clinton River. During the dark hours you still get "some" light from the city and surrounding neighborhoods.

Rochester Riverwalk is a lovely 1.8-mile paved pathway that winds along Paint Creek. It connects to the Clinton River Trail, with scenic views the entire way. There are several benches and shady spots, and it is a very popular spot for hikers, runners and cyclists, so you'll likely see others enjoying the trail during your hike.
