The Park is free and open to the public from dawn to dusk, May 1 through October 31. A famous stop along the Continental Divide for hikers and bikers, it still feels like surprising oasis when arriving at Brush Mountain Ranch. Affordable accommodations and camping options. But even worth a stop during the heat of the day just to charge electronics, use the Wi-Fi (as there is poor phone coverage all along the valley) and eating endless pizza and fresh cherries, while Kristin the owner offers cold beer. 1995 the Yampa River Botanic Park sprang from a flat horse pasture to a six-acre gem of ponds, berms, and over 60 gardens. Follow the paths that meander throughout the gardens to enjoy trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals. The gardens are also home to sculptures placed throughout the Park.
