Wilhelmsthal Castle was built between 1743 and 1761 as a summer pleasure palace for Landgrave Wilhelm VIII and is considered one of Germany's most important Rococo castles. Particularly well-known are the magnificent Rococo interiors and the extensive castle park with water features. Today, the castle ensemble is one of the most important cultural monuments in North Hesse, and you can visit it as part of guided tours.
