NIKOLAS
June 19, 2026, Bafi Mountain Refuge

Reaching the iconic Bafi Refuge on Mount Parnitha in the pouring rain! We missed the snow by just a matter of hours—only for the entire mountain to get perfectly blanketed the very next day. A cozy but slightly heartbreaking milestone, but still the best place to shelter from the elements.

One of the few remaining intact forests in Parnitha National Park. The nature here is enchanting. In November, when I was there, it was very quiet and pleasant to hike. The path with the red markings leads to the Bafi hut.
