From here begins the circular route of the Chinyero volcano through a landscape of pine trees and lava. The eruption of Chinyero in 1909 was the last volcanic eruption in Tenerife, to date.

The volcanic eruption of 1706 caused this area to collapse with lava. Today it is one of the incredible areas that you can visit in the Corona Forestal Natural Park.

Super nice way to go around the volcano, only at a junction to the lava field with the high rock in the middle could a sign be put up for my taste, I just walked past that 😂

The approach to the parking lot is over a bumpy track... drive slowly. In March the temperature is about 10 degrees lower than at the sea. 10-13 degrees in the shade. Take warm clothes with you. And decent shoes. The lava rubble is not for sneakers...😁
