Very nice rolling path by the sea. One of the few paths without sand on the island, so we enjoy it MAX!!

Paved and unpaved paths lead criss-cross through the salt marshes of Fier d'Ars. They were already laid out in the 14th century by monks. Nowadays, the harvests are brought together by a cooperative that organizes marketing. You can often buy the products directly at the salt marshes. A bizarre landscape that is worth discovering.

The centre of the pretty, Old Town, some lovely cafés and shops. On the main road (Av. le Mail) you will find modern shopping and restaurants with a Carrefour which is very much larger & well stocked than it would appear from the outside. Open 8am - 8pm (13.00 Sunday).

The very quiet Port Town of Loix, when the tide is out you are faced by a sea of mud. The area is very flat & shallow, perfect for making Salt & farming Oysters. The sea retracts more than a mile from the harbour

Beautiful small beach with two accesses, via the North it's a bit longer but you arrive directly on the sand, and there are fewer people.
