Work on the Atelier port-channel at La Tremblade has been completed. It is an old project dating from 2010 which has just been completed. 115 new berths are now available for boats with a draft of up to 1.80 m. The end of a huge building site that has completely changed the city center. Before, passers-by could stroll on Place Faure-Marchand, now they can admire boats. More than 50,000 cubic meters of rubble were evacuated to dig the basin and pour the concrete wall which plunges to nine meters deep. An arrangement that has become essential to allow the reception of boats in good conditions. Until now, the sailboats could moor in the channel but at each low tide, they found themselves stranded in the mud.
