An ideal route to escape the monotony of the Marans Canal and reach La Rochelle in the most beautiful way along the ocean from the top of the cliffs. Apart from a short stretch of a little-used departmental road (be careful, though) before Esnandes, the rest of the route is mostly a greenway. Once you reach the Île de Ré bridge, you can easily reach the center of La Rochelle via the cycle paths. Along the way: the tourist office at the Maison de la baie du marais poitevin, various mussel and oyster tasting huts, the charming Port du Plomb, a tavern behind the beach at Anse de Pampin in the summer, etc.
