Yes, the trails in Mondrago Natural Park, including this route, are generally considered easy and suitable for most fitness levels and families. While the overall route is rated moderate due to its length, many sections are light walks, making it accessible for a wide range of hikers.
The route offers varied terrain, including paths through pine forests, Mediterranean woodland, and coastal sections. You'll encounter packed sand, boardwalks, and firm coastal paths, with some rocky areas. The trail also passes by sand dunes and wetlands, particularly near S'Amarador Beach.
You'll experience a diverse landscape. Highlights include the stunning Cala Mondragó Beach and S'Amarador Beach with their clear waters. The route also takes you past the Path to the Mirador de ses Fonts de n'Alis viewpoint, offering panoramic views, and sections of the S'Hort d'en Metge Trail and Sa Guàrdia d'en Garrot Coastal Trail. You might also spot traditional stone houses and dry-stone walls.

As a Natura 2000 site for birds, the park is a haven for birdwatchers. You might spot species like cormorants, ospreys, and grey herons, especially around the wetlands of Ses Fonts de n'Alis. The park's diverse ecosystem also supports various other flora and fauna typical of Mediterranean coastal environments.

You can run smaller or larger laps and have 3 beaches to choose from
Our tour took us directly to the bathing bay. Since the access to the sea is relatively narrow, it is protected from wind and high waves, and the sandy beach with its fine sand invites you to linger. There were also many bathers there. But we didn't throw ourselves into the water, but instead walked around the peninsula and found a few places with wonderful views of the cliffs and the deep blue sea. Of course there are photos of that too. Then we went back and walked along the other side of the bay. From there you could clearly see how the cliffs had formed into terraces. We then went a little further away from the sea and found some old stone buildings. And everywhere in the area you can find the typical Mallorcan walls made of loose stones. It was a nice and interesting tour. The path was a bit adventurous, often uneven with lots of large stones, but still easy to walk on with hiking boots. The tour was definitely fun😊!
A very beautiful and easy hike. The nature here is indescribable.
Great morning tour through the beautiful Mondrago Nature Park (nature reserve). When we started, it was already 29 degrees, but in between you can refresh yourself in the turquoise water in the beautiful bays. You also meet lots of locals and tourists on the beaches, but only occasionally someone on the hiking trails. Otherwise, all you can hear there is the constant chirping of crickets. A total of 5 signposted short sections or routes through the nature reserve have been created, which can be easily combined with one another. There are lots of boards along the way with information on flora and fauna, among other things. You can find out more about this on Wikipedia, for example. An absolutely worthwhile tour full of contrasts with fantastic views.
A peaceful and beautiful walk connecting the four marked routes in the Montdragó Natural Park. I had planned this route, along with a few others to choose from for our trip to Mallorca. The photos from a German Komootler I saw on the komoot feed, which showed some beautiful orchids, finally made my mind up. But we finished the route and hadn't seen a single one. Until the park's information center told us there were thousands of them this year and showed us the ones growing next to the booth. They're tiny! I was expecting to see some really large flowers like the ones in the photos, but they're as big as a fly! My knowledge of botany allows me to distinguish a pine from a palm tree, and little else. A beautiful day, shared with some friends we met in Mallorca.
We've actually never run here before. But each route had something special and was really beautiful 🤩
From Cala D'or take bus 521 to Cala Mandrago. The bus stops right in front of the nature reserve. Super organized, you check in and out with your banpas just like in NL. You are there in 20 minutes, timetable is at both stations.
Parking 0€ in the residential area behind or in front of the Hotel Iberostar. Easy, beautiful path in the pine forest over the beaches and the Montrago nature park. With a light wind and a wonderful 25-27 degrees, we enjoyed the walk, which was partly in the shade.
