Portell de Sementer

Highlight • Gorge

The "gate of the seed". The name indicates that agriculture was previously practiced in the Vall de Bóquer. Even if you can hardly believe that, if you walk through the valley today.

Cala Bóquer

Highlight • Beach

Pebble beach with crystal clear water, mainly used by local people such as goats. The Boc Balear walks unashamedly through the bathers here.
The bay is also popular with yachts. There are practically no shady spots.
Perhaps interesting for geologists, but for laypeople simply beautiful to look at: the fossilized sediment layers on the left edge of the bay.

Vall de Bóquer

Highlight • Gorge

The path is comfortable, it runs through the old agricultural terraces of the Vall de Bóquer at the foot of the imposing wall of the Serra del Cavall Bernat, fierce and inaccessible in appearance. The old agricultural plots are quite feral due to lack of exploitation and the autochthonous Mediterranean garrigue is colonizing the slopes of the coastal mountains, off the beaten track and peasant sidewalks it is difficult to walk. The wide and comfortable path ends at the extensive Coll del Moro, which has remains of buildings and dry stone walls. The views of Cala Bóquer are beautiful, a true pirate refuge in one of the last calcareous fangs of the Tramuntana before forming the rugged coastal ranges of Formentor.

September 30, 2024, Zum Baden 🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️ an die Cala Bóquer 🚶🏼‍♀️🚶🏼‍♂️

Today is supposed to be a relaxing day with swimming. So this little hike to the beautiful bay of Cala Bóquer will be it. The ascent is a mixture of nature, Saxon Switzerland, the Alps, and so on... simply beautiful! Then comes this point where you look into this bay for the first time. Overwhelming! The rest of the way to the sea you say to yourself about 11763 times "just amazing, so beautiful". Then into the water and everything is even more beautiful. 🌊🌞🌴 The beach is described as a pebble beach, I would say the grain size is around 10 to 20 cm. You can also find several smooth stone slabs where you can make yourself comfortable. If you like a mattress with a firmness level of 37, this is the right place for you.😉 We keep encountering wild goats all along the way 🐐. They are also there on the beach as soon as you get something edible out of your backpack. Unlocked backpacks are searched thoroughly. On the way back you can enjoy the landscape in all four directions. The image of this wonderful bay is stored in your head and will be in your mind's eye during many a meditation. 🧘‍♂️ Ohhhhmmmmmm

A short walk to finish. Not far, but with a nice destination. The small bay is also the destination of many other excursions, which you will notice clearly in the late morning. Swimming is also possible in the bay, but the beach is made entirely of stones. Recommendation: only use the signposted path and set off as early as possible.

Very nice and varied tour; sturdy shoes and sure-footedness absolutely necessary

Beautiful, but strenuous hike in summer. There is almost no shade. Don't forget your hat. At the end a beautiful bathing bay. It's worth it for that.

The komoot tour goes off the path on the descent to the sea, which made it significantly more difficult. But overall a great tour.

At the beginning you have to cross private property, dogs are not allowed

*own creation* Own rating: 7 / 7⭐ Start / finish: free car park "Camí Boquer" Tour highlights: - Hike to the beach in a bay ("Cala Bóquer"), which can only be reached on foot (or by boat 😋) - 0% asphalt - adventurous ways - Goats everywhere! (Please don't feed them: they also come to the beach and grab bags etc. Some are totally cheeky!) - Beach without shady areas and not suitable for lying on (rough, large stones/rocks, little flat surface) - Entry into the water also rocky & slippery, but after a few meters sandy bottom) - little going on: were almost alone at the beginning. But people kept coming, but then left again after a short time - crystal clear water (took a step into the water and directly experienced a rare sight 🤩) - many views and farsightedness! - take enough food with you (especially drinks) ⚠️ I'm thrilled - absolute recommendation! 🤩 I would do it again and again - even if it's as hot as today. No problem with enough food and sun protection ✌️

On the second tour we hiked along a stony nature trail to a bay and then finally to the promenade of Port de Pollença.
