Still hobbling about but nice to do a proper run in the lakes

Do you run for fitness or fun? I've always envied people who run for fun. My analytical brain always kicks in during runs and I become competitive (against past self) to improve my times and I'm conscious of my pace all the time. But today I made a conscious change. I headed to Buttermere to run for FUN!! I refused to check my watch for pace data, I stopped to take photos/videos whenever I wanted, I didn't listen to beat-y music I listened to nature and I went as fast or slow as I wanted to and it was just the tonic I needed 😃

A much needed outdoors fix at Buttermere this morning 🥰

A very wet and windy loop around Buttermere with Katie

15th Jan - Blue Monday - supposedly the most depressing day of the year. I made sure I got out for a Blue 'Sky' Monday social run around the beautiful Buttermere this morning, followed by hearty soup at Syke's Farm Cafe. Outdoor exercise whilst bantering - the perfect antidote to feeling low 💙 😁
