🇫🇷🙋🏼♀️Sainte-Marguerite (Île Sainte-Marguerite) is located approximately 2 km south of the coast of Cannes in the Alpes-Maritimes department in France. Around 40 residents live on the island all year round. The area is 2.1 km², with a length of 3.1 km and a maximum width of up to 900 meters. It is the largest island of the Îles de Lérins, which also includes Saint-Honorat and the uninhabited Île Saint de la Tradeliere and Saint-Ferréo. 👉🏻What do you think of the “Man in the Iron Mask”🤔
Better for swimming than for running/hiking. The most beautiful bathing beaches with rocky shores are on the opposite side of the island near the pond area.
From Cannes, you can take a ferry to the beautiful island of Sainte Marguerite in about 25 minutes. This tranquil island has an almost Caribbean feel. It lacks palm trees and sandy beaches, but instead offers stunning views of the cliffs, the sea, and, in some places, turquoise waters. A walk around the island is highly recommended.
Photos day !!!!! The memory card was full!
The island is easy to walk around for a long time. A trip there from Cannes on a catamaran is an experience. Otherwise, the pine trees are beautiful and of course the views of the sea are great. There are small bays everywhere where you can swim in safety.
