After a very wet morning, we didn't leave until midday today. St Davids only has 1800 residents but somewhere it is written that a cathedral makes a town and so this is the smallest town in Britain to have the Queen's decree. The cathedral is absolutely worth seeing, the rest of the place is not. We continue to Whitesands Beach. Very nice, the name says it all. From there we follow the coast to St David's Head, a headland. A charming piece of the coastal path, not least because of the many horses that are very photogenic. Through heath landscapes it goes on green paths, a dream. We save ourselves the hill at the end, the time is already a bit advanced.
