Today we're doing some "cardio hiking" 😁 Very steep climbs on rocky ground. But if we can do it, anyone can 😀
Beautiful tour with 2 waterfalls and 2 beautiful extraordinary villages. The path is quite impassable with many thistles and bushes that you have to turn away. The path is also doable if you are afraid of heights. As always, the right timing is important for the waterfalls so that you don't stand in line. The two villages are great. All the houses and alleys are connected to each other and, like in a maze, it's not that easy to find your way down. Lots of little cafes, shops, restaurants, fountains etc in Pampaneira. Very extraordinary city.
Beautiful hiking trail with real highlights. Good shoes, sufficient physical condition and sure-footedness are important.
Wow, what a beautiful walk! The start in the beautiful lively town of Pampaneira, where you can have a delicious drink on your return, is also worth it. During the walk it was tough in some places, because the path consisted of loose stones and boulders. It took us some time, because it is really worth taking a look around from time to time. In short, highly recommended!
Today the walk of the 3 most authentic villages of Andalusia was on the program, Pampaneira - Bublion and Capileira, but because of a closed hiking trail the highest village Capileira was not accessible, walking via the normal road was not an option. So it became a loop Pampaneira - Bublion - Pampaneira. These villages are certainly recommended for those who: are not afraid of heights, can handle very steep parts over rocks and are in good shape, we had to rest a few times along the way. Finding cafes, especially in Bublion, is not easy, there is only 1 on the church square and in Pampaneira it is not much better. So it is recommended to take a lot of drinks. Also recommended is the road to Pampaneira, the locals call it: the Stelvio of Andalusia 😉, one hairpin bend after the other on, sometimes, dizzying precipices. We are still happy that we walked the trail.
