Making the most of the grandparents! This lovely little route heads down through the woodland and victorian Italian gardens before reaching the beach. Running along the promenade and past the ancient Ship Inn pub you begin your ascent to the cliff top. The next few miles give you unrivalled views across the North Sea before heading inland and up Warsett Hill to the trig point. Next is a fun short and sharp descent to the coastguards cottages with views to Saltburn and the coastline beyond. Once back at the Ship you retrace your steps. The official route starts and finishes at Huntcliff School, parking charges apply. You can park further down Marske Mill road for free and start and finish there. There are lots of lovely bars and cafes in Saltburn town centre which is well worth a visit!
