If the car park is full, loads of places ro park back up the hill /road towards Mam Tor
First go ever riding the famous Peaks Ride, Jacob's Ladder! With @Kell's mega planning, we rode some mega climbs and had hot arms holding on on the descents! Nothing quite beats the incredible views near the famous Ladder though 🤩 10/10 would recommend to a intermediately fit friend 🥳
@Bron and I headed out to the Jacobs Ladder loop from Edale. It's a fab ride, sweet views, mega descents- spicy rating from 🌶 to 🌶🌶🌶 and some (loads) of climbing to get stuck into. At parts of the ride I had some vibes it was going to be type 2 fun, but managed to smile throughout. Great to revisit a Peak classic mtb ride with 75% less fitness than I had on the last encounter. 10/10 would recommend.
I would recommend you park in the main car park in Edale as there's toilets, a coffee shop & two pubs very close by. The original tour starts from Barber Booth where there are no facilities.
Classic High Peak MTB Loop, in the words of @Kell "parts of this ride has vibes of Type 2 fun". This is a PROPER MTB ride with four long, steep & rocky climbs followed by four long, steep & rocky descents. Including the famous Jacobs Ladder there are magnificent views of the Valley all the way around, a thorough test of both the rider & the bike, tough & technical 🌶🌶🌶
Always mega on the Jacob's ladder route. With Jon and Lindsey aka Mindful Trail Biker. https://youtu.be/2yITJj6UrHE?si=3eSxUzJ5GI74k5Cv
