Amazing ride. The data is not entirely correct because at the highest point (climb to Corno Gries) I had to push, both uphill and downhill, because it is impassable in the saddle. Too many rocks and too much snow. The correct data is 28 km and about 950 m of altitude difference. Up to Passo San Giacomo it is an easy dirt road. From the pass to Rifugio Gries it is a mountain trail to be done 80% in the saddle. The climb to Passo Gries and the relative descent is a path between rocks and snow. From Alpe Bettelmat to Lago Morasco it is quite technical but very fun.
Technical route not always rideable, suitable for those who like to push!
Easy route from Riale to Passo San Giacomo, on a dirt road, from Passo San Giacomo to Capanna Gries the route is on a fairly flat but exposed single track. Very demanding climb from Capanna Gries to Colma, steep slope and very uneven terrain, in some places it is necessary to push. From the Gries pass to Bettelmat, a very demanding descent with steep slopes, steps and protruding rocks, requiring technical ability and excellent training. From Bettelmat to Riale easy descent.
In many places, bicycle portage, really challenging ride
