Bamburgh Castle

There has been a castle here for 1400 years, since the Anglo Saxon Kings used it as the stronghold in Northumbria. The current castle sits on a 9 acre rocky plinth, it's one of the largest inhabited castles in the country.
You can visit the castle and the pretty village but some of the best views are from the beach.
