January 2, 2024, Viel Hike fürs Bike und kein Ende in Sicht 🙈 - Biketag im Parque Natural del Cap de Creus - Girona 😍👌🏻🚵‍♀️🇪🇸

Today we had something to look forward to 😍 ..in order to add variety to our cycling fun, a coastal tour was on the agenda today. This is a beautiful panoramic tour, true to the motto "first the pleasure, then the work" 🙈🥴 The first half of the tour was relaxed on wide asphalt and gravel paths and the moderate climbs were also easy to master 😌 we enjoyed an absolute dream view over the sea the entire way to Cap de Creus. The entire coast is constantly in view on this tour. The path for cycling isn't particularly spectacular at first, as you don't ride a single trail. There are some really nice descents where you can reach a good pace. All hardtail compatible. Another highlight is the small fishing village of Cadaques, which would also be a good place to stop off ☺️ the last three km to Cap de Creus are a constant up and down, but everything is asphalted. There are also a few cars on the road here, all tourists who also want to go there. Halfway through the tour we ate in the restaurant right on Cap de Creus made a noodle stop. However, it is very touristy, a bit more expensive and I would rate it as mediocre. But the sea view is fantastically beautiful and you can always have something to drink 😊☕️🍸🍹 After the break the fun really started 🙈 and I was so happy about the noodles in my stomach. They gave me new energy, which was definitely needed. The return route of this tour should not be underestimated. Take a close look at the elevation profile if you want to cycle along 😅 First we started with the detour to the cap, the same up and down as before, until the path then splits and meanders away from the coast deeper into the nature park. Until now I thought the tour was great for hardtails...here I changed my mind and was very happy about having my fully under my butt 😂 A beautiful trail with loose, large stones led briefly downhill. Then it went steadily uphill for a good 20 km. And these 20 km did not consist of a carefree gravel or asphalt surface. No! We rode beautiful flowing single trails - just uphill 🙈🥴 and we thought there would only be 200 more meters..... well in the end there were over 600 more 🙈 At some point I ran out of breath or energy and after I had a coke, a gel and a Snickers, the Luci, er the Resi went off again 😂 it was really necessary, there was still so much to come 🙈 first a few stupid cows that just stood in the way. The crazy Resi preferred to ride in the back, the critters also had two horns on top 😬 of course they were very good, but you never know and you've already had a lot of experiences 🙈 After we cycled safely past the cows, it slowly became darker. And we still weren't at the top... so lights on and we continued on a flow trail that would have been a lot of fun going downhill 🙈 but it didn't help, we had to go up there now. When we had fought our way up the trail, we went again on asphalt....steeply uphill "still 67 m" I heard it behind me. Should I really believe that?.....so first up the road and then there was another trail 🙈 so I pedaled hard again until another hill appeared in front of me, to the left in front of us the sea and the town of Roses immersed in a beautiful sunset. Fantastically beautiful 🤩 ...if it hadn't been for the damn steep driveway 🙈 so I went back up and took a few quick photos before the colors disappeared in the sky. Then the rest of the climb followed. We thought at the top that the last 3 km downhill could only be a matter of hours. Hmmmm we weren't wrong at all 🙈 it was all downhill from now on... but how! It was now almost dark, we were standing on a mountain and we saw the extremely steep and rocky path stretching down two more hills in front of us. Oops 😅 well... well, then we had to go down there too. So it was time to push again 🙈 that's how it went with the S4? Down the trail...pushing, sliding, pushing etc...which took forever. Yeah, and so we got a little knocked out. then finally back in Roses 🙈 Conclusion: fantastically beautiful panoramic tour 😍first very relaxed with a fantastic sea view and wide paths, then very, very demanding on the way back as it leads into the mountains. Constantly going up and down on single trails, always pushing sections, very difficult progress until the end. The first half is definitely good for the hardtail, the second half is more for the fully. Nevertheless, absolutely nice tour and recommended 🤩👌🏻

The big, very technical descent from the ridges to reach Rosas is missing!🚴‍♂️ More battery on the phone 🪫

Overwhelmingly beautiful horizons, bought at the price of strenuous elevation gain and a descent - not a descent - like in the high mountains!

Translated by Google

Another superb outing prepared by Marc 👌 Magnificent views, fairly rolling climbs, small singles on the descent, difference in altitude at the start, return with the fresh sea wind, friends. Tip Top !
