Nice, very easy ride, partly on paved roads but mostly secondary, with little traffic at this time of year.
Includes a flow trail! Mile 27! Not for everybody 😳
The panoramic road shortly after the Marebbe shrine is closed due to the threat of a retaining wall collapsing. A detour through the valley via tunnels (prohibited? Observe state law) is not recommended; a tunnel bypass is also completely buried due to a rockfall. The uphill drive from Olang to Kronplatz is approximately 15 km and 1275 m above sea level. From the Furgl Pass, the paths are gravelly but easily navigable. Two short, steep climbs before the summit. Good food and refreshment at the Cima mountain restaurant are highly recommended.
Thanks to the esteemed YouTuber Bikemike, we ended up in the area around Olang on this holiday; he recommended this tour at https://youtu.be/bCnN6hQdScQ. Incredibly beautiful!!!!!! However, the first 5 kilometers of the descent are pretty tough, gravel and steep; good, serviced brakes and thick tires are essential in my opinion.
But the steep part of the tour was the gondola. About 3-4km it went up with the gondola ... 😊 about 800 meters ....
