Hiking
From the Seelände on Lake Königssee, you can reach the St. Bartholomä peninsula by boat. There, you begin the circular walk, passing the pilgrimage church of St. Bartholomä, continuing past the National Park Information Center (accessible restroom) on a flat path directly to the wildlife feeding area (winter only). Beyond this, the path turns right for about 100 meters, which you follow to Lake Königssee. There, turn right again and walk along the lakeshore (benches) back to the boat landing.
The walk takes approximately 1 hour (depending on the number of people).

🐟 After returning from Salet, we made a culinary stop at the small fish smokehouse – fresh smoked fish with a view of the lake: highly recommended! 😋 🌳 The half-hour walk around the St. Bartholomä peninsula was the perfect end to our day of hiking. 👣 Although there were many visitors, everyone was spread out nicely – and we only had to wait about 20 minutes for the next boat to Seelände. 🕰️🚢 A short, atmospheric walk in a stunning landscape. 🏞️💚
A lovely little circular walk mostly through the forest. The start and finish was the beautiful church of St. Bartholomä, which you can see from the boat. The boat trip only takes 30 minutes compared to the trip to Salet. The hike can be extended as desired...e.g. to the ice chapel.
After the ride with the Jennerbahn, we continued to Königssee. It was absolutely packed, but after about 30 minutes I was on the boat towards St. Bartholomä. Since I was quite late, I only did the 30-minute loop trail and then went a little bit south at the end. In the end, I sat in the beer garden until the endless queue for the return trip finally got shorter. Then it was back with the last boat. It was worth it for the view of the lake, even if it's a bit overcrowded. You should definitely bring some time for queuing.
