This route is a beautiful loop through the upper Murg Valley and the Black Forest National Park. Here nature is the protagonist. So that you also have the eyes for it, the paths are mostly well developed. Therefore, the route is also well suited for e-mountain bikers or families.
If you are traveling with children, you can also shorten the tour for them, for example by parking at the Ruhestein and you only ride the second section together. One parent can then drive back to the car and pick up the others. In Mitteltal there is a natural outdoor pool that is ideal for waiting. You can stop off in several places along the route and also at the Ruhestein.
It starts in the middle of Baiersbronn. A bit hilly you cycle parallel to the river through the Murgtal uphill. Behind Obertal you dive into the forest and gain more and more altitude up to the Ruhestein. You are now in the Black Forest National Park, where you can admire waterfalls along the way. At the Steinhütte you can catch your breath before it goes uphill again to the Ruhestein.
At the Ruhestein you can relax and visit the exciting National Park Center. Then it goes along the slope with short counter climbs down towards Neuberg. Then you follow the Tonbach, which rises behind the Neuberg at the Möhrlesbrunnen, back to Baiersbronn. On the way you can marvel at a charcoal kiln behind the Wiesenhütte and scramble around on the huge rocks on the Pudelstein.

Via Baiersbronn Mitteltal and Obertal we slowly cranked our way up to the Ruhestein.
The landscape is so beautiful that we 1. stopped again and again and 2. just drove very leisurely.
A tour to enjoy, hardly any cyclists and hikers on the way (except on the Ruhestein), birdsong, flowering meadows, forests, …

Only the last piece before the hearth was steep.
Almost a challenge without an E.
Our tandemmodorle and the Trebler whistled out of the last hole 😁
But it was shit.
Going down was nice too.

A beautiful tour. Always along the Rotmurg we went up to the Ruhestein. Bach, Bächle, Brünnele, it's always babbling somewhere. And the little birds also have a lot to tell. Totally relaxing.
From the Höh, the paths lead back down through the beautiful Tonbachtal. A few plagued trees can be seen along the …
