Hiking

This circular hike offers a beautiful natural spectacle with the turquoise Jöriseen amidst the barren mountain landscape.

You start at the Postauto bus stop Wägerhus and hike from there in a northeasterly direction steeply uphill over barren alpine meadows. The path is partly secured with ropes and takes you up to the 2,723-meter-high Jöriflüelafurgga.

From the saddle, it goes down to the impressive Jöriseen – the largest of the lakes glows even more intensely than the others thanks to the meltwater from the Jörigletscher.

Afterwards, you hike below the glacier to the Winterlücke. From here, you can enjoy another unique view of the Jöriseen and the Silvretta massif. The path winds down the slope in countless switchbacks, offering you a great view into the Flüelatal.

After a total of eleven kilometers, you are back at the starting point at the bus stop.

Highlight • Lake

When you descend from the Winterlücke, you can already see the picturesque Jöriseen below you in the valley. The largest of them is fed by glacier water – hence the milky-turquoise color. You can take a wonderful break on the shore, and if you are very brave, you can jump into the lake for a swim.

Start: 🅿️ Wägerhus (free) Pass the Wägerhus on the left, follow the mountain path to the junction 🔃 We walk the loop clockwise 🕰 steadily uphill on a well-maintained path, occasionally avoiding the cows 🐄. We've reached the "Jöriflüela-furgga" (Jörifluela-furgga). Wow 😍 a first glimpse of the lakes 🏝 Then off we go. A short, secured passage ⛓️ leads down to the "Jöriseen" 🏝 a group of mountain lakes. They are fed by the Jöri Glacier, which lies on the northern flank of the Flüela Wisshorn 🏔. From the largest lake, the Jöribach 🏞 flows north through the Jöri Valley towards Klosters. Of course, they also invite you to swim 🏊‍♀️. After a long, relaxing break 🏊‍♀️🥪🥤, continue to the third lake... right ➡️ Aha, now it's getting rocky 🪨🪨🪨 ‼️Surefootedness required‼️ Follow the markings through the scree 🪨 to the first plateau. The lake is dry, but you can hear the water rushing beneath the rocks. Continue to the second plateau, where there are many small lakes. Final climb up to the "Winterlücke" saddle northwest of the Flüela Wisshorn 🏔 The Wisshorn can only be reached by climbing grades 1-11. Steep descent in switchbacks (fine scree), partly over boulders 🪨 past the large rockfall 🪨 from March 2019, soon you reach the junction 🔃, from here you take the same route back to the starting point 🚗 Wägerhus

Favorite hike 🥰 and not at sunrise ❤️🐾🥾🐾 it couldn't be better

An absolute gem of a hike! Beautiful all over, but it is strenuous if you aren't in shape and it truly requires good quality hiking gear, especially if one wants to do it when the weather is not so cooperative. Please always go prepared only. If you do, it will be worth the effort!

Simply great hike! No matter where you look, nice! You have to bring your own food. And it's also a bit exhausting. At the weekend I won't run the tour anymore, it's a lot of activity and the motorcycle noise bothers me on the ascent.

Since we had to wait almost 1 1/2 hours for the bus, we decided from Wägerhus/Abzw. Jörisee to hike up to the Flüela Pass. This easy T2 hike takes about 45 minutes. It is highly recommended because you constantly follow small streams and have to cross them. Sometimes it has stones so you don't have to go through the water, sometimes you have to walk through the water which is a few centimeters high. My tip is to extend this tour to the top of the pass. If you drive up by car, you can also simply walk 10 - 20 minutes down the wildly romantic level to the rear. This feels good after the long descent.

Fantastic top hike with an amazing landscape experience, panorama and varied paths. Highly recommended (with the appropriate stamina, sure-footedness and footwear) More family hikes at: www.timeout-outdooractive.de

Beautiful tour, but there is still a lot of snow near and above the lakes. Above the lakes on the Jöriflüelafurgga there is a short section secured with a rope, but it is easy to do.

The "kids" didn't want to come with us on the hike this morning.. After handing over his high school diploma and a fine dinner yesterday, Leon was lost in dubious, seedy bars with his buddies 😂😂😂, this morning Lasse preferred to continue to Silvaplana for kitesurfing.... So the three of us just go: Great round tour from Wägerhaus on the Flüelapassstrasse to the Jöriseen... all three of us liked it without exception... see pictures! I can really recommend!
