One of the most beautiful hikes, and I lucked out with perfect weather. When planning, I thought 10 km wouldn't be enough, but I hadn't factored in the deep snow, which stretched for over 4 km. It was very strenuous, but absolutely beautiful. I'll definitely hike the trail again when it's dry.
Very nice tour. Unfortunately the boardwalk in the Roten Moor is closed today due to tree felling work. But the lamb sausage with chips in the Nabu House at the Roten Moor was very tasty.
Easter Sunday at 10 a.m. at 3°C started the circular route 3! Beautiful!
Recommended route, great views especially in the first half.
Beautiful route today - often shaded by trees. I would have wished for Autan in the high moor meadows. Were a lot of brakes on the way.
Off to the mountain... chasing clouds of fog around the summit... Greetings from the Watzmann 🤣🙈 Today the N3 circular hiking tour was planned with family and friends Mathias and Wibke from northern Germany. We actually wanted to run the Rhönextra Tour Rotes Moor in beautiful autumnal weather. After the weather gods predicted a rain break of 2 hours, we started at the Nabuhaus Rotes car park at 1 p.m. and walked the Rhönwanderweg 3 Extra Tour Rotes Moor. We got rain for the last half hour. But it was still a nice tour with great views and impressions of the Rhön. I was pleased that my daughter accompanied us. 👍
Another highly recommended "extra tour". April also contributed to the success of this great tour with its unpredictable weather.
