A beautiful route worth riding. Probably even nicer with less wind, rain and flat tires.
Hey. Finally visiting my personal favorite German city again😍. I absolutely had to go back. The plan for this tour was to do a circular tour of Hamburg without leaving the green belt. And it worked out. The exciting thing was that I drove through countless parks and, above all, allotment gardens, which were very crowded on May 1st with the crowds 🌞. So my tour turned into more of a relaxed stroll, but that didn't detract from the quality. Families from all over the world were grilling and sizzling in the parks. It smelled sooo delicious😋, but I had to keep going😂. The kids were running around in the meadows or in the water and had a blast. The tour is incredibly varied; I personally found the orchards, fruit orchards, lakes, forests, and especially the allotment gardens sensational😊. And there's a bit of ⛴️ thrown in too. I gained a completely new perspective on Hamburg. P.S.: Dear City of Hamburg, you've done a lot in terms of bike paths. Thank you for that. But: The number of bike crossings I've encountered without lowered curbs is shocking. And one more thing: Many allotment associations have paths in extremely poor condition. Why don't you allocate some of your budget? Allotment gardeners make a valuable contribution to the city's ecological balance. How about that? 😉
Very nice, very green circuit around Hamburg. Can be done almost without GPS support, strange mini-detours result from the sometimes somewhat sparse "11" signage. And when it comes to the altitude, Komoot or my phone mercilessly overperformed, if that was 800 meters, I could easily ride up Mount Everest, I'm that fit.
Today I did a standard route that I thought I had never ridden before. In the end, I already knew everything except Eichbaumsee. 😊 There was little to see of the surroundings, such fog today! 😶🌫️ The ring is generally quite nice and varied to ride. Steilshoop and Harburg could be skipped. It would be even greener if all the road crossings were replaced by tunnels in terms of traffic policy. Where is the political will to do this?!? 🤔 Highlight of the day: 95 km of the tour with only 2 black tea stops. 💪🏽 Stocking up over Christmas is paying off... 😁
If you don't believe in "Hamburg, my pearl", we recommend this great tour "around Hamburg". An unbelievable amount of green, many allotments and lots and lots of water really convinced me! The tour comes without busy roads (unless you deviate from the route to stop off) and is well signposted.
Some airport was there today. It should be an honest 100. At the Volkspark I missed the way to the bridges. Was stupid of me. I lifted the bike over a railing and it was right again.
A wonderful round to get to know the greenery and nature around Hamburg. The group and the sun were great!
Really took advantage of the weather today ☀️! Bike ran almost by itself. Had the tour in mind for a long time. Today it was finally time 🎉. And now it's over ☀️😎🍷!
