Passing hop gardens, the hop research center and the German Hop Museum, this tour is all about hops. The "green gold", as hops are called here, can be discovered particularly well between July and September. What better place to start this tour than the Wolnzach Hop Museum? After a visit, you cycle on gravel paths and country roads to Niederlauterbach, where the "crossroads" of this tour is in the shape of a figure eight.
On both sides of the path, the hop tendrils reach high into the sky. In between, you can enjoy wonderful views over the Hallertau. Then you reach Geisenfeld, where you can visit the Hallertau Local History and Hop Museum in the former monastery. After a section along the Ilm, you cycle back to Niederlauterbach and from there finally back to the starting point in Wolnzach.
