The starting point for this beautiful hiking trail, on which you can also find out more about the life of the Celts in the Taunus, is the footbridge at the Taunus information center. Countless stations and information signs along the way provide information about the former Celtic city at this point.
Total time approximately 2 hours 10 minutes, including a detour to the oppidum plateau and breaks for reading signs, taking photographs, and other activities. Sturdy footwear, surefootedness, and hiking poles are recommended.
Today I hiked a quick lap before the rain comes. However, the rain has caught up and you. But it wasn't a problem 😌 because the umbrella was there 😃👍. Amazing what was cleared again on this Celtic trail. The view of Frankfurt and the surrounding area is getting better and better, but it's still a shame that so many trees are missing. Is always a nice round. All forest floor and a bit stony. Tomorrow comes Celts part 2 😄🤪😎☔️😜
Strolling along the Keltenweg with a lot of leisure and curiosity and enjoying the shimmering autumn colors of the Taunus, that was really fun today!
So many magnificent views of Frankfurt in perfect weather. Afterwards, delicious pumpkin soup at Waldtraut on the Hohemark.
Today after work, there was still high fog. I picked up a former neighbor from work in Oberursel and we drove to Hohemark. There, we hiked the Celtic Trail and made a detour to the Bear Cave. It was lovely to be there again. Up there, there was a mystical atmosphere: sun, fog, and moon. Simply fantastic. As a reward, we got 2-for-1 schnitzel as regulars. Have a lovely evening, and we're already looking forward to tomorrow with temperatures up to 20°C and lots of sunshine.
Along the Celtic hiking trail. Free parking right next to the Hohemark U-Bahn.
Finally being able to start a tour again after such a long time was balm for the soul🥰 The tour is ideal for beginners. You not only learn a lot about the Celts, but also have many beautiful viewpoints. Suitable for children from 8 years
