PARK N47.60244 ° E12.92396 ° Paid parking lot - full very quickly MEASURED VALUES 18.7 km - 850 m ascent - 4:40 h WAYS Very nice (paid) detour through the Wimbachklamm. Then wide paths with a constant slight incline. First half in partial shade - longer sunshine stretches from Wimbachschloß. RECOVERY Wimbachschloß - good regional, unusual organic cuisine. Lots of public traffic. On the way back we had strudel with vanilla sauce and homemade herbal lemonade (highly recommended). At the rear Wimbachgrießalm then typical hut bread time - d. H. for me goulash soup and something sweet for my sweetness (yeast dumplings)

I won't get these beautiful mountain landscapes ⛰️🏔️ and the partially ripping Wimbach incl. the gorge 🏞️🌊 out of my head so quickly. All the sun has also burned down on my thinker's forehead.

Today we went to Wimbachgries. Could start running straight from the holiday apartment, it's only 2 km to Wimmbachbrücke. Then we went through the gorge. Beautiful😍🌊. Water came down the wall everywhere and then roared towards the valley. Then we went higher and higher towards Wimbachgrieshütte. Unfortunately, it started to rain halfway to the top and didn't stop until halfway back🌧. That's why we only went to the hut for lunch. The food there is really excellent. When we were almost there, the sun came out, so at least the things can dry 😅

Good morning ☀️ from the Wimbachtal 🏞️ Flaked in bed until 7.30 a.m. today. Of course again in the double room Deluxe Suite 😁👏The 2nd night after crossing the Watzmann was worth its weight in gold 😁👍🏻 But again both 💩🫣 slept, despite the efforts the day before 🤔. Does anyone have a tip? Valerian drops maybe? 😃 But at least that way you don’t have any stress down to the valley the day before and can still enjoy the day to the fullest today 🤩 Book early in February and you’ll get a no-a-place 😉 A leisurely breakfast ☕ we were almost the last ones, then we went back relaxed through the Wimbachtal 🏞️. Had no knee pain during descent 👍🏻. But today sore muscles in the calves and legs deluxe 😜 At halftime a cold apple spritzer in the castle 🏰. 😉 At this time nobody had arrived from below. You almost have the beer garden to yourself 🤩 Shortly after the 🏰, the masses of tourists poured upstairs. Partly in jeans and sneakers, bathed in sweat to get a seat in the 🏰 😂 It was very hot today 🌞🫠, but it was relaxed downstairs 😉 Was already up there with the woman and the dwarf in the Kraxn last year and knew the way. The nature with the trees and all the little streams is just beautiful 🤩 😎 Did you spot a camera on the way? But she pointed into the wood below and across the path 🤔 Does anyone know what that is exactly and what purpose it serves? 🤷 But in the valley I was really exhausted after the 3 days and little sleep. Then drove comfortably to lunch 🥗🍻. Everything went perfectly again and was well organized 👍🏻 Rau Tours Deluxe 😜 But you also need capable employees like Stefan 😊💪🏻, irreplaceable the man 🫶. It was mega and we were so lucky with the weather 🥳🥳🥳 https://www.relive.cc/view/veqzoLYAoBv

The morning greeted us with blue skies and sunshine. So, off we went to the Wimbach Bridge and into the Wimbachgries valley. We skipped the gorge today and immediately headed toward the Wimbachgries Hut. The path leads along a narrow forest road along the Gries, sometimes steeply, sometimes less steeply, up to the hut. We passed Wimbach Castle on the way there and arrived at the hut just in time for lunch. If you're ever there, be sure to try the spinach dumplings 😋😋. We returned more or less the same way, with a quick stop at the castle.

The Wimbachgries is a special place, a beautiful lunar landscape. The path runs in the forest next to the Gries, which is very good in summer...as well as a refreshment in the gorge at the beginning and in the Wimbach at the end of the tour.

The tour starts at the large paid parking lot at Wimbachbrücke. Up to 4 hours costs 6 euros, or 1 day costs 9 euros. You quickly reach the Wimbach Gorge, which is also free to walk around. Entrance fee: 4 euros. Tickets are available at the machine, so it's always open. The gorge is short but well worth seeing. The route continues along the mountain river, rising up the valley. High, rugged, rocky mountains rise on both sides. You pass Wimbach Castle, a restaurant, and reach the Wimbachgries Hut, the destination. The views are impressive. The tour doesn't climb any mountains, there are no steep climbs, and yet you gain about 700 meters in elevation. That's amazing. The trail is easy throughout and designed for crowds. This means it's doable for advanced hikers in sneakers. On my way back down the lower section, I also encountered crowds. Overall, definitely recommendable.
