The great views are what makes this home trail so fascinating.
The path leads fairly quickly through a magical deciduous forest. Once you have mastered the first few meters of altitude, you will have a wonderful panoramic view of nature. A little further down the valley, a section of the Lieserpfad leads to the Old Oak, the tree that gave this circular path its name. The 25 m high, over 460 year old giant, with a trunk circumference of almost 5 m, is a natural monument. The path then leads upwards to a wonderful panoramic view. The Struth villages of Kradenbach, Neichen, Beinhausen and Boxberg with its Lieser spring fit perfectly into the Eifel landscape.
