Every year the Black Forest Ultra Bike Marathon takes place here in Kirchzarten. You can even earn World Cup points here. There are various routes to ride with increasing levels of difficulty. I chose the hobby route. Except for a trail to the Höfener Hut, which was a bit rooty and rocky, everything was rideable without any problems. And I finally reached 1000 meters in altitude, which brings me ever closer to my goal, Mount Miduriama, which the natives reverently call Feldberg. See you at the top.

Today, after the morning rain, I quickly went for a "little" ride in the bright sunshine. It was very nice, beautiful paths, beautiful nature, friendly people, and 3 huts, all open. But I didn't go into any of them because I didn't have enough time. I wasn't sure if they had Kaiserschmarrn. The way back was downhill, I didn't pedal once for about 10 km. But the brakes are still glowing... and I've been back here for 2 hours already.
