Stage without particular emotions. Even today in open countryside with a landscape of cultivated fields.

It was the expected long tour. In the Komoot there is a variant that is definitely 2 km shorter. We walked the ones in the outdoor guide. The mileage information did not match

This is the third time I've followed the Via Francigena towards Rome.

The first time was during the coronavirus pandemic, when I hiked the section through Switzerland. I hiked further than Aosta, the first city in Italy from the Great St. Bernard Pass.

The second time was two years later, when the route took me from Aosta to Piacenza.
