Pond on the Centennial Trail

It's hard to imagine that the waters of this little oblong pond eventually, and lazily, make their way into Lake Superior almost 500 kilometres away. You get a great view of the mirrored pines and water lilies from the trail.

The Centennial Trail splits three ways here. North takes you to Highway 44; the other two paths explore further into a network of peaceful marshes and lakes that the Centennial Trail tours as it parallels the main highway.
