Hiking
This trail is perfect for spotting the famous mountains of Tombstone Territorial Park. Indeed, in less than an hour, you can admire Mount Monolith at the bottom of the Grizzly Valley. You can then continue towards Grizzly Lake for as long as you wish. Be careful, if you do not have a backcountry camping permit, remember to turn back at some point.
You can easily reach the trail at the end of the parking lot, in the middle of the trees. The trail is very well marked (by Yukon standards) and you will find a voluntary registration box for hikers shortly after entering the forest. As you advance, the trail begins to climb and the trees become smaller and sparser as you enter subalpine territory.
Just before climbing the ridge, you will arrive at a small clearing, from where you can observe the famous Mount Monolith, to the west. Here, you can continue on the trail to enjoy the wonderful mountains even more and perhaps encounter a caribou, or you can turn back and begin the descent to return to the parking lot.
