Hiking

The Alpirsbächle, cheerfully babbling, accompanies you on your tour through the nature reserve northwest of Alpirsbach. Here you are on the go in a small side valley of the Kinzig with the springs of the Alpirsbächle.

Anyone who loves wild nature is in exactly the right place. In the protected area with its forests, meadows, and wetlands, many, partly endangered animal and plant species can be discovered. A special spectacle: countless butterflies can be observed from the path.

You start at the town hall and head through Spitalgasse directly into the nature reserve. At the hiking parking lot below the pond, the circular trail through the idyllic valley begins. A look at the information board is worthwhile; it provides information about flora and fauna. At the Karlsquelle, a shelter with a fireplace invites you to rest; a reservation via the Alpirsbach town information is required for this. Via the Unterer Moosweg with beautiful views, you return to the starting point. If you want to shorten the hike, you can also start at the Glaswald hiking parking lot.

The tour is suitable for families, including with strollers, as well as for seniors. From Alpirsbach town hall, around 150 meters of altitude difference need to be overcome, from the Glaswald parking lot around 100.

Alpirsbächle

Highlight • River

The "Alpirsbächle" is indeed a small tributary of the Kinzig River in the Northern Black Forest. It flows through the town of Alpirsbach (Freudenstadt district, Baden-Württemberg) and probably gave the town its name.

Glaswiesen and Glaswald

Highlight • Natural

The name suggests its former use as a source of firewood for glassblowing. Today, it is a beautiful small nature reserve.
