On this short, family-friendly circular trail in Brilon-Nehden, an exciting journey through time into the world of dinosaurs awaits you. The route is very easy to manage at just over 600 meters and is ideal for families with children - without any steep climbs or long stages. Instead of a sporting challenge, the focus here is on discovering things together.
From the start at the small chapel in Nehden, you and your family go straight into the Cretaceous period: Interactive stations and digital content bring the past to life and invite children to get active themselves.
A special highlight is the famous DinoSpuren site, where real remains of Iguanodon were once discovered - a herbivorous dinosaur that lived in the early Cretaceous period around 125 to 140 million years ago. The experience is complemented by playful elements, a playground and picnic benches.
The starting point is easily accessible. You should pack your own food, as there are no places to stop for refreshments along the way. Have fun on a relaxing, educational family outing in the fresh air.
