Road cycling
Are you ready for 108 kilometers of pure road cycling fun? This route is an absolute must for all road cycling enthusiasts looking for the perfect blend of sporting challenge and scenic enjoyment.
On top, asphalted surfaces, you'll pedal through dense forests and across open fields with magnificent panoramic views. Sometimes it goes uphill steeply and sometimes you glide along in gentle waves. Look forward to four demanding climbs that will make your calves burn.
At the northernmost point of the tour, in Berching, you should briefly take your eyes off your bike computer: The Johannesbrücke offers a postcard-perfect backdrop of the Sulz riverbank and the historic city wall – the perfect spot for a break.
The finale will be really scenic again. On the low-traffic road between Walting and Pfünz, you can adopt an aero position and let your gaze wander over the Jura rocks and the wide valley. Shortly before the finish, you'll roll past the impressive medieval stone bridge of Pfünz before arriving back in Eichstätt.
