The 20 d’Alsace, as its aptly named name suggests, covers a distance of 20 kilometers and has the unique feature of traversing the vineyard landscape of Barr. In the heart of the Vosges foothills, you'll follow forest trails that connect both wide tracks and more technical singletrack. You'll also enjoy magnificent views over the Alsace plain.
The loop starts from the parking area at the Sentier des Chameaux (Camel Trail). From there, you'll begin a long, very gradual climb of approximately fifteen kilometers. This ascent is interspersed with short, rolling sections and bursts of speed to add dynamism to the trail.
Although it's uphill for two-thirds of the distance, this trail is designed to be quite runnable, especially for runners with a certain level of fitness. It's therefore an ideal course for amateurs looking to work on their endurance in hilly terrain and for more experienced runners seeking speed.
Designed by the Uni’vert Trail station, this loop also connects some historically important sites such as the Pagan Wall or the Lansberg castle.
