This tour offers you a nice mix of asphalt and gravel. It goes steadily over gentle hills, past lakes, through small hamlets and quiet forest sections, where you can clear your head and let your legs take control.
You start at the train station in Traunstein and roll relaxed and car-free towards the northwest until you reach the eastern shore of the Chiemsee. An ideal place for a first break: take a deep breath, enjoy the view of the lake and then keep pushing. In Moier's Hofcafé you can then replenish your energy and start again after an espresso.
On quiet paths, the route runs via Ising in the direction of Stein an der Traun, where you pedal through the forest on the finest gravel until the landscape opens up and you can see far over the Tachinger See and Waginger See. Via Waging am See you roll flowingly back to Traunstein.
