The whole thing was also back, of course, only recorded half of it😕
Happy Girls on Tour🤣. What a wonderful day it was today 🤩. And to finish off, cake chat at Kuppelwieser. What more could you want 😋🤗
Thank you so much! Have a nice weekend, too!
Although the trail runs through the valley, it is surprisingly steep. However, you'll be rewarded with three waterfalls.
The famous Batöni Waterfall Arena is located in the Sardona Tectonic Arena, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. https://www.graubuenden.ch/de/touren/wasserfall-arena-batoeni In this arena-shaped rocky area, three large waterfalls cascade down from the cliffs, all clearly visible from the same spot. From here, two paths lead past them on the right and left, climbing steeply upwards. A very impressive, very rocky area. The path there from Weisstannnen is quite steep (average gradient of 14%) and rather rough, but not difficult. After the heavy rain, it was still quite wet and muddy. At first, I was almost alone, but then many other hikers came up here.
Batöni, a magical place. In the morning I set off for Weisstannen. First by train and then by bus. The bus ride into the valley alone was worth the trip. The view was amazing and the bus driver steered his vehicle up the narrow road with virtuosity. It was a pretty steep climb up the mountain. But it would be strange if it wasn't. 😉 I had been looking forward to this day for a long time. My goal or wish was to see ibexes in their natural habitat for the first time. Long before the trip I got the tip from a Swiss man to go to the Weisstannental. The area is very rich in wildlife and there is a good chance of seeing ibexes. There was indeed something going on in the forest. Far away I heard the roar of a love-struck red deer. When I reached the arena of the three waterfalls, I saw movement on a peak. But now I had to hurry and mounted the heavy telephoto lens. I was beside myself with joy. Ibexes, or more precisely two ibexes with their kids. I watched them for several minutes until they disappeared again. Originally I wanted to climb even higher, but why? My plan worked after all. I climbed back down and took a long break in a meadow, enjoyed the sun and watched a farmer visiting his grey cattle. Beautiful! Another great day in beautiful Switzerland! 😀
