nice, undemanding route that, starting comfortably from the Alba ski lift parking lot, leads to the Contrin refuge, at the foot of the Marmolada. You initially follow a stretch in the woods and then emerge into Val Contrin, a green and majestic valley, with large meadows and fir trees and a view of the Marmolada in front and Sassolungo behind. Contrin refuge recommended for lunch! For those who want, some nice via ferratas start from Contrin....
6 days in the Dolomites - Stage 5: From the Dolomia refuge to the Contrin refuge We arrive at the easiest stage of our tour, finally we are allowed a little relaxation, after the long and demanding route of the previous day. We immediately descend to the Val di Fassa towards the west, along the Marmolada, the path follows the valley floor without any kind of roughness. Once in the town of Alba, we take a refreshing lunch break in the El Resole 'restaurant. The pizza with chanterelles and speck was truly a delight for the palate. Weighed down by lunch we go up southwards in the splendid Val Contrin, here there is no path, but a wide and wide dirt road, really easy and suitable for anyone. Just enough time to say goodbye to a herd of donkeys and we are already at the Contrin refuge, the destination of this stage.
This excursion starts from Alba, in the heart of Val di Fassa, and will give us a day of serenity, far from the hustle and bustle of the ski lifts. 🏞️ The path begins to climb gently through a lush forest, offering us suggestive glimpses of the valley that opens up before our eyes. 🌲 Continuing, the path becomes gentler, accompanying us on a slight slope that runs alongside the stream, creating a relaxing and regenerating atmosphere. 💦 The last stretch offers us a slightly steeper climb, but the reward is priceless: the Rifugio Contrin, a stopping point for many, but not our final destination! 💪 A few more steps and we reach the Malga Contrin, a true jewel nestled in the valley. With a bit of luck, we will be able to enjoy the breathtaking view from the panoramic table, tasting the delicious local products. 😋 The return is on the same path, allowing us to savor once again the beauty of this pristine valley. 😌
