Hiking
On this circular tour, you'll hike through the charming and beautiful Bliesgau landscape of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Discover the wooded gorges of the Bliesgau sandstone in the lower elevations and enjoy the views of fertile farmland from the limestone heights of the Bliesgau.
Most of the hike will be along field, forest, and meadow paths, often narrow trails. On the higher elevations, and especially on the Roman road, you'll enjoy wonderful views, even as far as the Vosges Mountains in Alsace and the Palatinate Forest in clear weather. In the lower elevations, however, rushing water has carved deep gorges into the Bliesgau sandstone, leaving behind wildly romantic landscapes.
On the tour, you'll hike through a total of four gorges. The "Flürches Gorge," the "Hahner Gorge," the "Zehnwäldchen Gorge," and the "Dalheimer Gorge in the Almend" make the hike a fantastic experience. However, the gorges also present a few challenges – surefootedness and sturdy footwear are essential. At one point, you'll cross the riverbank on stepping stones, and steep steps will lead you uphill.
The Heckendalheim Wiesental bus stop is a good starting point. Bus lines 504 and R10 serve the stop regularly.

I was all familiar with the individual sections from my MTB tours, but exploring this round in one go and also on foot gives a completely different perspective.
The round has already been described X times, so only briefly:
