The starting point is the Schloss Montfort underground car park in Langenargen, where you can also park your car. Alternatively, you can also travel to Langenargen by train. The castle itself is a marvel and offers a first panoramic view of Lake Constance. You follow the Lake Constance Cycle Path towards Schwedi and cross the Schussen River. From May to June, a very special natural spectacle awaits you in the Eriskircher Ried. Thousands of Siberian irises bathe the meadows in a deep blue, accompanied by yellow water irises and rare orchids.
The Wirtshaus im Ried invites you to take a relaxing break. Here you can enjoy delicious food and cool drinks in a friendly atmosphere. Ideal for recharging your batteries before a leisurely cycle back to Langenargen.
The route is mostly paved or finely graveled, flat, and easy to manage. Please note: Cycling is not permitted for approximately 423 meters – you'll need to dismount and push your bike for a short time. Overall, the route offers a great outdoor experience in a short distance. It's a great outing for the whole family.
