"Are you waiting for better times? Are you waiting with your courage? Like the fool who waits day after day; On the river bank; Until the waters have flowed away; Which flow forever." Wolf Biermann
NORDKAPP It may have been the last day, but it certainly wasn't easy. A strong headwind and low clouds all day long. A 100km stretch of nothing but rocks and asphalt without any form of civilization felt almost alien. But nothing could keep me away from the North Cape. The 'North Cape Tunnel' was a different story: 7 kilometers long, 212 meters deep with slopes of up to 12%. First a brutally cold descent and then climbing out of the steep tunnel at pace with cars, campers, trucks and horns making a deafening noise. A grim gateway to the northernmost island of Norway. The last 30 kilometers to the North Cape still had a lot of climbing, and was cold and foggy, but the feeling of euphoria prevailed. Finished after 3178km on a North Cape surrounded by fog, one day ahead of schedule :)
