A very nice circular route that started from the "Hand" hiking car park above Normannstein Castle. He led us in the direction of Schierschwende to the linden hedge. Then it was on to Adolfsburg and the Normannstein knight's castle.
We were particularly impressed by the diverse nature, the magnificent meadows, beautiful forest paths, wonderful views of Treffurt and the Werratal. …

Clear hiking recommendation 👍. This tour has a premium character for us. Very varied with great views of the Werratal.
Several benches on the Sülzenberg or the hut at the Adolfsburg are recommended as resting places.

From the parking lot below Normannstein Castle we went to Adolfsburg. From there it went back to Treffurt, past the Mainzer Hof to the Sülzenberg. On the top hiking trail we hiked to the linden hedge and back to Normannstein Castle. The variety of different hiking trails makes the tour an experience.
