W10 - Large lake loop - Weißensee

Lake Weissensee, located in the nature park of the same name, is certainly one of the most beautiful of its kind. The various shades of blue from the shore to the center of the lake, paired with the green alpine meadows and fir forests, create a pure mountain idyll on this mountain bike tour.

Your clockwise circumnavigation starts in the village of Weissensee itself. From the lakeshore, you pedal hard and climb quickly up the northern slope. The view of the body of water below you is uniquely beautiful and accompanies you on the traverse to the eastern end of the lake.

Since there aren't paths everywhere on the enclosed southern shore, you'll take a detour to the other side of the hill and cycle from one beautiful alpine pasture to the next. Your faithful companion is the Tscherniheim stream, which also guides you to delicious places to stop for refreshments. Once back at the lake, you'll follow its turquoise shore once more.
