This tour boasts quiet roads, magnificent views, and plenty of sunshine – especially recommended in spring and autumn, as you can escape the cold on the shady bike path. The climb will be a bit challenging, but the view over the Pustertal Valley is worth every effort.
Starting from Bruneck, you pass the Auenbachl biotope and ride through small, typical villages. Shortly after Pfalzen, you'll ride on the Strada del Sole della Pusteria – a scenic, quiet country road with a moderate gradient. Perfect for soaking up the sun and enjoying the mountain scenery. The asphalt isn't perfect everywhere – so be careful on the descent!
You'll whizz downhill from Terento through a series of curves to the Rienz River, letting the wind blow around your face. Afterward, you'll cycle leisurely on small roads through the enchanting villages. Be sure to visit a bar here and enjoy a delicious espresso before switching to the Pustertal road and then the Rienz cycle path. Views of Plan de Corones accompany you until you arrive back in Brunico.
